Remember A Charity has launched a new scheme in recognition of the difference people can make to charities when they leave charitable bequests in their wills.
Plaques are being unveiled at the the site of projects that have been funded through such gifts, including projects involving some of the country’s biggest charities, as well as smaller, more local charities.
The scheme has been launched to mark Remember A Charity Week, which will run from 17 – 23 September, and aims to encourage more people to consider making a charitable donation in their will.
According to Remember a Charity, around 75% of British people will regularly give to charity, but only 7% have made provision for a charitable donation in their estate planning.
