A teacher from California is likely to inherit an estate worth at least $7 million from a cousin she hadn’t been in contact with for over a year, reports the Daily Mail.
Walter Samasko Jr died in May this year at the age of 69. After his death, a large collection of gold coins was found in his garage. It is thought his mother had started the collection, and Mr Samasko had continued to add to it after her death in 1992.
According to the Daily Mail, Mr Samasko had no known family and had not left a will. Therefore officials had to track down the closest surviving family member. His first cousin, Arlene Magdanz, now looks likely to inherit the whole estate.
