Lindsay Maclean, a solicitor with Gibson Kerr, has been promoted to Associate with effect from 1st September 2012.
Lindsay joined the firm as a trainee in September 2007 and since qualifying has worked in the private client department. She is now developing considerable expertise in the field and has recently gained her STEP Diploma for Trusts and Estates, which she passed with distinction.
The Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP) is the worldwide professional body for practitioners in the fields of trusts and estates, executorship and related issues. STEP aims to promote the highest professional standards through education and training, and the STEP Diploma in Trusts and Estates (Scotland) education programme is the benchmark trust and estate qualification for trust and estate practitioners in Scotland.
Scott Rasmusen of Gibson Kerr commented: “Lindsay’s promotion reflects her experience and hard work over the years since she joined us, and we are delighted to have her in the firm working in this area of work for which there seems to be increasing demand.”
Lindsay now intends to apply for full membership to STEP.
