The Duke of Cambridge turned 30 last month, entitling him to inherit his share of his mother’s estate. According to press reports, this could amount to £10 million.
Diana, Princess of Wales, left her estate to be held in trust for her two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry. According to the Telegraph, the will initially stipulated that they would not be able to access the capital of the estate until they reached the age of 25. However, the executors of the will later raised the inheritance age to 30.
Prince William has been allowed to access the interest earned on his share of the estate, since he turned 25.
Prince Harry will turn thirty in September 2014.
