Lindsay has been with us since 2007 and is a Partner in our Personal Law Department. She is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners having obtained her STEP Diploma for Scotland (Trusts and Estates) with distinction. Lindsay is a Full Accredited member of Solicitors for the Elderly, a national organisation of lawyers who provide specialist legal advice for older and vulnerable people.
Her work covers an extensive range including wills, powers of attorney, adults with incapacity and guardianship orders, executry estates, inheritance tax and capital gains tax planning as well as residential and commercial conveyancing and leasing experience. Lindsay has a particular interest in dealing with the legal issues affecting elderly clients and can provide advice in relation to the cost of care at home and care home fees. Lindsay is also a notary public. In April 2017 Lindsay was awarded the STEP Advanced Certificate in Family Business Advising with Distinction. Lindsay feels this certificate will help her when advising clients on succession matters for their family businesses.
